The new California T (pictured) revealed ahead of a Geneva debut
It’s been a long time since Ferrari gave one of its cars a turbo charged engine, not since the late ’80s and the Ferrari F40, but that all changes – and no doubt points the way to the future – as the Ferrari California T gets revealed ahead of a debut next month at the Geneva Motor Show. Based on the V8 Ferrari build for the Maserati Ghibli, the California T’s new engine is a 3.8 litre twin turbo with 552bhp and a mountain of torque, 557lb/ft, a massive 49 per cent more than the current California produces. That improves performance marginally – 0-62mph in 3.6 seconds and a top speed of 196mph – but has a big impact on economy; the new California T improves on the current California by 15 per cent, recording official figures of 27mpg and 250g/km.

Hyundai UK has been busy taking photos and video of the new Veloster Coupe – due in showrooms in 2012 – and we have plenty of both. A couple of months on from the release of model and price details for the Hyundai Veloster in the UK, Hyundai UK has been making the most of their new coupe by taking a shed load of photos and videos of their new sporty coupe. Vauxhall Astra VXR (2012) gets revealed
We’ve been expecting news of the new 2012 Vauxhall Astra VXR for a while, especially as Vauxhall intend launching the hot Astra in 2012. And now we have a little more on the VXR – and some photos – although Vauxhall hasn’t put a price on the Astra VXR yet. The Astra VXR is based on the underpinnings of the Astra GTC – which Vauxhall managed to reveal at least three times before it finally went on sale – so it has two doors, a longer wheelbase and a wider track than its five-door rep-mobile sibling.
